The Hong Kong International Airport Three-Runway System Project is part of the Hong Kong International Airport Master Plan 2030 unveiled by the Airport Authority Hong Kong in 2011. Construction of the project started in 2016 and was completed in 2024, with a total cost of HK$141.7 billion. It is the most expensive infrastructure project in Hong Kong’s history.
